Construction Inspector - Engineer - Airports Queens in Manhattan, NY

Our local client is currently searching for an additional CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR - ENGINEER to work at the LGA field office.The applicant will inspect tenant alteration work, involving the inspection of building construction work, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, architectural and structural work. Reporting to the Resident Engineer, this Inspector-Engineer will be required to have full knowledge and familiarity with contract documents, ensure that work is performed in accordance with drawings, specifications and all applicable codes and standards.The Construction inspector - Engineer will schedule and conduct site inspections as required, attend progress meetings and final inspections and document meeting minutes. Perform reviews for future contracts, provide comments on drawings and specifications by specified dates coordinate construction work with facility police, maintenance and operations to ensure that contracts will be completed with min disruption to the facility. BS in Engineering or Architecture BSCE or BSME, for exle. . . In lieu of a Bachelors Degree, a NICET Level III will be consideredMinimum of five or more years experience in construction management and inspection. Construction experience must include concrete and reinforcing placement, HVAC installation, Fire protection systems, equipment and systems, preparation of estimates.-OSHA 40 hour certification required. -NYC Local Law 52 scaffold certification required.-Familiarity with NYC Building Code.-Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft word and Microsoft excel.-Expertise to pass a SWAC Experience investigation at High-level. -Night and weekend shifts may be required.Available Interested Contact Ken Jordan ASAP at [removed phone] or [removed phone].
